Thank you for visiting the web site of Hughson High School, Home of the Huskies.  As the single comprehensive high school in the Hughson Unified School District, we are proud of our school’s history, traditions, and culture.

Hughson High celebrated its centennial with pride in 2010.  We currently have many second, third, and even fourth generation students enrolled.  The school is located in the town of Hughson, population 7,545 as of 2020 census.  Hughson is a part of Stanislaus County which is situated in the center of the San Joaquin Valley of California, and serves a predominately rural agriculture area.

The graduation rate at Hughson High over the past three years is impressive at 96.6%; well above both the state and county averages of 82.3% and 83.5%.  Hughson also ranks higher than both the state and county in the percentages of students who complete the University of California a-g Requirements with a three year average score of 44.2% as compared to 42.7% and 32.6%

Students have the opportunity to take a wide variety of courses, including college prep, career technical education, fine arts and advanced placement.  A large number of clubs, sports, and other co and extracurricular activities are available for students to enjoy.  The FFA (Future Farmers of America), which has been on the HHS campus since 1932 has 558 state farmers---among the top ten in schools across California.  The Academic Decathlon team has earned the right to compete in state competition two of the last three years.  Hughson High has been the overall small school winner at the Occupational Olympics eight of the last nine years.  A trip to our gymnasium will   show visitors over 90 banners celebrating league, Nor Cal, and state championships earned by our various sports teams.
